Welcome to 2024! We appreciate your support throughout 2023, whether you were a partner, sponsor, or participant at our events. Your presence has been invaluable to us.

As we embrace the opportunities of the new year, our commitment remains steadfast in advocating for African food heritage andculture, African diaspora agrofood entrepreneurship and related themes. We recognize the pivotal role that African diaspora agrofood entrepreneurship can  play, in building sustainable agrofood systems in Africa and economic empowerment in their countries of origin. Thus we will work towards helping the entrepreneurs maximize their potentials.

In 2024, our core projects will center around mental health, African indigenous food systems, climate actions and African diaspora entrepreneurship. These initiatives will run concurrently with other projects developed in response to calls for proposals from various entities.

To kick off the year, we will analyze and present the findings of our sample survey on entrepreneurship and mental health. In the  spring of 2024, in collaboration with partners from academia, development agencies, international organizations, and governments, we will host an international conference that delves into the intersections of decolonization, diaspora, and the African food system. Later in the autumn, we invite you to join us for our annual African Diaspora Agrofood Forum, taking place from the 8th to the 10th of November 2024 at Tour and Taxis Brussels. In preparation for the forum, we will invite qualified candidates for the African Diaspora Agrofood Entrepreneur of the year 2024 and the compendium of African Diaspora Agrofood entrepreneurs. The 2023 edition can be downloaded here- https://diasporafordevelopment.eu/library/food-bridge-2023-compendium-of-african-diaspora-agrofood-entrepreneurs/

Partnership is the cornerstone of our work. If you are interested in collaborating on existing projects or wish to co-create new initiatives, please reach out to us to schedule a meeting. We are open to exploratory discussions and look forward to the possibilities that 2024 holds for collective impact. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
