Mirrored Reflections

Are you a young woman, possibly a mother, without close support from older women? Join us for an evening of reflection, food stories, and cultural connections on Friday, September 27th at 4 p.m.

In many cultures, women use mirrors to assess their appearance. This project uses food as a metaphorical mirror to reflect the hidden values of older women from various Brussels communities. The event aims to break barriers, build connections, and unite women across generations and backgrounds.

Key objectives:

• Empowerment through sharing: Provide older women with a platform to showcase their culinary skills, fostering pride and social interaction.
• Intergenerational connections: Encourage the transfer of culinary knowledge between generations of women.
• Cultural exchange: Create a space for women to share their cuisines and stories while discussing issues affecting them.
